The MAT exam dates for February 2026 have been announced. In 2026, MAT PBT and MAT CBT will take place on March 1 and 8, respectively. Registration process for the same has started and interested candidates can apply for MAT 2026 Feburary exam at AIMA MAT website. About MAT Exam 2026

The Management Aptitude Test 2026 (MAT Exam), executed by AIMA since 1988, is one of the most popular MBA/PGDM entrance tests in India. Nationally recognized by the Government of India since 2003, MAT provides as a gateway to 600+ renowned B-Schools across the country.

How to apply for MAT 2026?

In order to finish their online MAT application, candidates have to follow to these simple steps.

Registration Process:

New candidates must register with a working email address and mobile number to create your account. Verify them with OTP to access dashboard.

Choose Exam Mode:

Applicants must choose the exam mode PBT or CBT. Candidates must pay INR 3800 for both PBT and CBT, and INR 2200 for a single exam.

Documents Uploading:

A current, passport-sized, color photo is required. Make sure there are no sharp shadows and that the colored photo was taken against a light-hued background, ideally white. Make sure your eyes are visible and there are no reflections if you use glasses. Also, verify that both ears are visible in the photo. Caps, caps and dark glasses are not suitable in the shot. Religious headgear is acceptable as long as it doesn’t cover your face.

Only the.jpg or.jpeg formats should be used for the photo image file. The file should not be smaller than 10 KB or larger than 50 KB.

Write on white paper with black ink pen and scan it. Please scan the signature section simply and not the complete page. Please be advised that this signature will be on the admit card; the application will be denied if it is different from the signature on the answer sheet from the written exam and the interview.

The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg format. The file should not be lower than 5 KB or more than 20 KB. A current, color, passport-sized photo is needed. Make sure the colored image was taken against a background that is brilliant in color, ideally white.

Choose Management Institutes (MI):

Candidates choosing for Double test options will have the benefit of picking additional 2 MIs for sending their scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 MIs i.e., they can select 7 MIs in total. When choosing an additional MI, the candidate must pay INR 118 (including 18% GST).

Fee Payment:

You will be taken to the payment page after making your MI selections. You can use a debit card, credit card, UPI, net banking, or wallet to pay the registration fee.

Complete the application Form:

Complete the online registration form with your personal and academic information. Since your eligibility will be screened based on the information given by you, you are obliged to exert adequate care to correctly furnish the personal details, your Qualification details, etc.

Upgrade Test: Candidate can upgrade their already picked test mode to available options among CBT + PBT and CBT + CBT with an additional charge of INR 1600/-

Additional MI Choices: The candidate may choose as many MIs as they like, but each choice will cost an extra INR 118 (with 18% GST).

MAT Admit Card 2026

According to the timetable provided on the website, all candidates who have temporarily registered for the MAT must download their admit card from their MAT applicant dashboards.

There will be no email or postal delivery of the admission card.

MAT Exam Pattern 2026

Each of the five parts of the MAT exam has thirty questions. Over the course of 120 minutes, 150 questions must be attempted. -0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong questions. Your MAT score is determined by all five areas.
