The seven Zonal Coordinating IITs will administer the JEE Advanced 2026 (Joint Entrance Examination Advanced) under the direction of the Joint Admission Board 2026 (JAB 2026). For admission to the Bachelors, Integrated Masters, and Dual Degree programs (entrance at the 10+2 level) indicated in Clause 2 at all IITs during the academic year 2026–2027, a candidate’s performance in JEE (Advanced) 2026 will serve as the foundation. Students enrolling in the four-year Bachelor’s program at select IITs can choose to pursue a B.Tech. (Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors; dual degree students can also pursue a Minor. Additionally, certain IITs allow B.Tech students to pursue an interdisciplinary dual degree, which consists of a master’s degree in one department and a bachelor’s degree in the parent department. JEE Advanced 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligibile for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2026 exam must passed the following criteria:

JEE Main 2026 Criteria:

Candidates should be in the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (across all categories) in the JEE (Main) 2026 B.E./B.Tech. exam.

The percentages of candidates in each category that will be shortlisted are: 40.5% is open to everyone, with 10% going to GEN-EWS, 27% to OBC-NCL, 15% to SC, and 7.5% to ST. PwD candidates are eligible for a 5% horizontal reserve in each of these five areas.

Age Criteria:

Candidates must have been born on October 1, 2001, or later. SC, ST, and PwD applicants are granted a five-year age relaxation; that is, they must have been born on or after October 1, 1996.

Number of Attempts:

A candidate may take the JEE (Advanced) exam no more than twice in a span of two years.

Class XII exam Requirements:

When a candidate passed the Class XII (or comparable) exam for the first time in 2025 or 2026, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics ought to have been mandatory subjects.

Qualifications for OCI/PIO Candidates:

Candidates who are not Indian citizens by birth or naturalization will be regarded as foreign nationals. These foreign national candidates are given supernumerary seats, up to 10% of the total number of seats in each course. These candidates are not eligible for seat reservations under the following categories/subcategories: GEN-EWS, OBCNCL, SC, ST, and PwD. The foreign national supernumerary seats do not have a subcategory or separate supernumerary seats for women.

When applying for JEE (Advanced) 2026, foreign national applicants are not required to write JEE (Main) 2026; instead, they can register for JEE (Advanced) 2026 directly.

Online Registration for JEE (Advanced)

Every applicant who is qualified to take the JEE (Advanced) 2026 exam (see Clause 11) is required to register. If it is later discovered that the candidate does not match any of the qualifying requirements, registration will be canceled.

Registration Portal: In order to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2026, candidates must register.

How to apply for JEE Advanced Exam 2026?

  • Go to the official website.
  • Enter your security pin, password, and JEE Main 2026 roll number to register.

JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Pattern

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2026

The JEE Advanced exam admission card, which includes information about the examination center, will be given to candidates who have registered and paid the registration costs.
